The Lecture Series consists of texts from a series of invited lectures at major European universities such as the Sorbonne, given during the 1994-1995 academic year by Professor Nader Angha, the master of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi®, School of Islamic Sufism®. Each lecture centers on a different topic, as the titles indicate. The book presents a distillation of the teachings of this famed, revered and thought provoking contemporary Sufi Master.

A main teaching of this school is that to experience and know Absolute Existence, one must first know oneself. This is attained through focused concentration in the heart, and letting go of social habits and attachments, which separates us from our inner self. When we achieve this at all physical and metaphysical levels, then the self-imposed limits constructed by the mind will collapse and we experience “the unlimited horizon of existence.”1 and its unity.

“Just as constructing a dam prevents the waste of water, controlling the five senses, correctly practicing concentration and meditation, and learning to direct all energy using our resources in a focused manner, prevents the waste of our valuable time and capabilities.”2

Sufism: The Lecture Series is also available in audiobook format.
